The 26th TÜBİTAK Sky Observation Event, which was first organized in Antalya Saklıkent in 1998 and received nearly 15 thousand applications from 81 provinces this year, was held in Bursa Uludağ on August 9-11 with the vision of the National Space Program.
The participants were determined by drawing lots and more than a thousand sky enthusiasts from all age groups participated in competitions, seminars, workshops and exciting activities related to astronomy.
Throughout the event, scientists, experts in their fields and Turkey's astronauts made presentations on interesting topics.
The event started with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Fatih Kacır. The President of TUBITAK, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, also attended the event. Our first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı and Tuva Cihangir Atasever also gave speeches at the event.
Nihal Dulkadir Yaman and Fatih Yaman, academicians working at our college, participated in the 26th TÜBİTAK Sky Observation Event as participants.
